Mary Louise Thaxton

  Funeral services for Mary Louise Thaxton, age 75, of Florien,
were held at 2 p.m., on Friday, June 5, at Cenchrea Nazarene
Church.

  Bro. Ron Berry, Bro. C. M. Huff, and Bro. Mack Brister
officiated. Burial was held in the Mt. Carmel Cemetery, under the
direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home.

  Mrs. Thaxton died on Wednesday, June 3, at Schumpert Medical
Center in Shreveport, La.

  She is survived by her husband, Leon Thaxton of Florien; one
son, Elbert Thaxton of Blanchard, La.; three daughters, Carolyn
Manasco of Florien, Katherine Westfall of Lumberton, Tex., Linda
Benevage of Florien, La.; five sisters, Mildred Thaxton of
Alexandria, Edna Ward of Westlake, La., Hazel Sandel of Florien,
La., Rickie Lee Sandel of Florien, La., and Hattie Dizekan of
Florien, La.; eleven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren.
Mrs. Thaxton was preceded in death by a brother, Raleigh Sandel.

  Pallbearers were as follows: Gerald Thaxton, Charlie Thaxton, F.
C. Thaxton, Dennis Dizekan, Travis Alford, and Kenneth Dale
Ellzey.

  Visitation for Mrs. Thaxton was held at the Cenchrea Nazarene
Church on Thursday, after 6 p.m.
