  Ned O. Touchstone

  Ned O. Touchstone, 61, of Tyler, died Tuesday, July 26, 1988, in
Tyler after a brief illness.

  He was a native of Florien, La. and was a resident of the
Shreveport-Bossier area most of his life. Mr. Touchstone was a
professional researcher and writer and owned and operated a
retail bookstore in Shreveport. At the time of Mr. Touchstone's
death, he resided on Lake Palestine in Tyler.

  He is survived by his wife, June A. Touchstone of Tyler; his
father, Samuel F. Touchstone of Haughton, La.; one son, David M.
Touchstone of Shreveport; two daughters, Lia Touchstone Tippit of
Rockwall, Tx. and Lauren Touchstone Jones of Knoxville, Tenn.;
two sisters, Laura Touchstone Norris and Samantha Touchstone
Sisemore; and three brothers, William Touchstone, Wesley G.
Touchstone and Sammy J. Touchstone; ten grandchildren and
numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

  Services were held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday July 30 at the Osborn
Funeral Home Chapel in Shreveport.

  Family received friends at the funeral home from 6 p.m. to 8
p.m. Thursday and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday.
