Teasley, 70, of Provencal, died Monday, May 23, in Shreveport, after an extended illness. Funeral services were held Wednesday, May 25, in the Warren Meadows Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Lee Perkins, and Dr. R. P. Butler officiating. Burial was in the Ft. Jesup Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home of Many. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mattie Teasley of Provencal; four sons, Harvey Teasley of Shreveport, Henry Teasley of DeRidder, Johnnie Teasley of Fisher, and Max Teasley of Many; three daughters, Mrs. Muriel Scherodus of Savannah, Ga., Mrs. Shirley Smith of Evans, and Mrs. Bettie Alford of Plainview; four brothers, Ed Teasley of Mansfield, Henry Teasley of Bryceland, O. B. Teasley of Orlando, Fla., and Ernest Teasley of Redding, Calif.; four sisters, Mrs. Pearl Turner of Provencal, Mrs. Lillian Peterson of Many, Mrs. Josie Smith of Baird, Tex., and Mrs. Mamie Firesheets of Florien; and 12 grandchildren.
