Survivors include three sons, Elgin L. Tate of Many, Rodrick L. Tate of Pineland, Tex., and Harmon A. Tate of Baton Rouge; two daughters, Daisey L. Baker of DeRidder; and Alma Hankins of Shreveport; one sister, Alma Cox of Natchitoches; two brothers, Joel W. Speights, and Ernest J. Speights, both of Many; 16 grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren. Funeral services were held at the Little Flock Baptist Church, under the directions of Warren Meadows Funeral Home, March 25, at 2 p.m., with Rev. Elcie Walker, and Rev. J. P. King officiating. Burial followed in the Little Flock Cemetery.
