Bertha Alford Tidwell

  Mrs. Bertha Alford Tidwell of Many, died Wednesday, October 5,
1983, at Schumpert Medical Center in Shreveport. She was 77 years
of age.

  Funeral services for Mrs. Tidwell will be held Friday, October
7, at 10 a.m., at the Many Church of Christ. Burial will be at
Many Cemetery. Bros. Leon Bates, and J. C. Moore will officiate.
Services are under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home.

  Mrs. Tidwell is survived by her husband, Mr. B. J. Tidwell Sr.
of Many; two sons, Needham Tidwell, James Tidwell, both of Many;
three daughters, Hazel Pickle of Temple, Tex., Ruth Cole of
Huntsville, Tex., Jean Davis of Natchitoches; 15 grandchildren;
and 8 great grandchildren.
