B. J. Tidwell, Sr.

  Mr. B. J. Tidwell Sr., 82, died in Huntsville, Tex., at noon, on
Sept. 25, 1987.

  Services were held at Many Church of Christ on Sept. 27, at 2:30
p.m., with Leon Bates officiating. Burial was at Many Cemetery,
under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home.

  Survivors include two sons, James Tidwell of Natchitoches, and
Needham Tidwell of Many; three daughters, Hazel Holloway of
Temple, Tex., Ruth Cole of Huntsville, Tex., and Jean Davis of
Natchitoches; and one sister, Catherine Welch of Bossier City; 15
grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren.

  He was preceded in death by his wife, Bertha Alford Tidwell; one
son, B. J. Tidwell Jr.; and one daughter, Marie Greer.
