Tidwell, 61, 200 Yjean St., Bossier City, who died Saturday, at Highland Hospital, following a brief illness, were held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, at the Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel in Bossier City. Officiating was Wyat Kirk, minister of the Airline Drive Church of Christ in Bossier City. Burial was in Pease Chapel Cemetery at Bellevue, with pallbearers including Rex Beard, B. J. Tidwell Jr., Needham Tidwell, Thomas Welch, Philbert Tidwell, and Charles Davis. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mary Maxine Tidwell; five sons, Don Tidwell of Shreveport, T. J. Tidwell Jr. of Houston, Tex., Wayne Tidwell of Colorado, Gerald Tidwell of Indiana, and Barney Tidwell, U. S. Air Force in England; three daughters, Miss Ruth Tidwell, and Mrs. Jo Anne Smith, both of Elgin, Tex., Mrs. Linda Weathersby of Pennsylvania; two brothers, M. E. Tidwell of Haughton, and B. J. Tidwell of Many; three sisters, Mrs. Katherine Welch of Bossier City, Mrs. Nevada Beard, and Mrs. Fannie Palmer, both of Haughton; and 11 grandchildren.
