Tatum John Mitchell Tatum, 58, of Converse, died Saturday, March 15, in a Shreveport hospital, after a brief illness. Funeral services were at 11 a.m., Monday, in the Converse Baptist Church, with the Rev. Richard May, and the Rev. Howard Welborn officiating. Burial was in the Converse Cemetery, under the direction of the Drewett Funeral Home. Survivors include his widow; one son, Bobby Lynn Tatum of Shreveport; two daughters, Mrs. Barbara Lilley of Mansfield, and Mrs. Amy Lou Blakney of Converse; eight grandchildren; two brothers, Jack Tatum, and Paul Tatum, both of Lake Charles; three sisters, Mrs. Elsie Edwards of Mansfield, Mrs. Elainie Smallwood of Sulphur, and Mrs. Rita Dees of Lake Charles.
