The Rev. William Campbell officiated. Burial was at Sardis Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Drewett Funeral Home of Mansfield. Mrs. Tatum, a resident of Pilgrim Manor Nursing Home for the last year, died at 7:35 a.m., Monday, July 11, 1983, at Bossier General Hospital, after a brief illness. Mrs. Tatum, a native of Sabine Parish, and a resident of that area most of her life, resided in Garland, Texas seven years prior to her stay at Pilgrim Manor Nursing Home. Survivors include five daughters, Aleece T. Joyner, Hilda T. Thompson, and Millie T. Esser, all of Garland, Clarice T. Hammock of El Paso, Texas, and Helen T. Moffett of Shreveport; two sons, Tanner Tatum of Texas City, Texas, and John Tatum of Converse; one brother, Elbert Cates of Many; 18 grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren.
