Wilson Tatum, 77, active church and civic worker in Mansfield, died Sunday, July 31, at the DeSoto General Hospital in Mansfield, after a lengthy illness. Mrs. Tatum was born June 21, 1889, in Bastrio. She and Mr. Tatum were married on Christmas Day, 1906, and would have celebrated their sixtieth wedding anniversary this year. Mrs. Tatum is survived by her husband; four daughters, Mrs., Sibyl Edwards, Converse, Mrs. Inez Webb, and Mrs. Marie Cunningham, Dallas, and Miss Maudie Tatum, Mansfield; two sons, Scott, and James, Shreveport; one sister, Mrs. Maud Tinsley, Bastrop; four brothers, B. U. Hood, Covington, John T. Hood, Blanchard, Robin Hood, Shreveport, Furniss Hood, Galveston, Texas; eleven grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. Funeral services for Mrs. Tatum were Monday, Aug. 1, at 2 p.m., in the Drewett Funeral Home, Mansfield. Conducting the services were the Rev. George Richey, pastor of the Mansfield First Baptist Church, and the Rev. H. M. Ro?h, pastor of the Converse First Baptist Church. Graveside services were at 3:30 p.m., in the Centuries Memorial Park, Shreveport. Rev. James Taylor, pastor of Highland Baptist Church, and Rev. Mack Merritt, pastor of Ingleside Baptist Church, both of Shreveport, conducted the services. Pallbearers for the services were ? V. Barr, Johnny Bennett, Florin Bufkin, Cecil Fla?, Henry Hollowell, Ar? Howard, T. J. Magee, and M. A. McCammond.
