Yawn Tidmore, 53, of Midway Manor Nursing Home in Shreveport, died Monday, Nov. 29, at Confederate Memorial Medical Center, after a long illness. A native of Pleasant Hill, Mrs. Iidmore had lived in Shreveport most of her life. She was a retired Licensed Practical Nurse. Funeral services were at 10 a.m., Thursday, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, Southside Chapel, with the Rev. Rodney Duron, pastor of the First Assembly of God Church, officiating. Burial was in Spring Ridge Cemetery near Pleasant Hill. Survivors include two sons, Melvin Yawn, and Freddie Yawn, both of Shreveport; two daughters, Mrs. Faye Jacobs, and Mrs. Billie Boggs, both of Shreveport; two sisters, Mrs. Maxine Thompson of Shreveport, and Mrs. Jimmie Lou Touchton of Pleasant Hill; two brothers, Raymond Thompson of Many, and Kirk Thompson of Beaumont, Tex.; and nine grandchildren.
