Born Nov. 9, 1918, she was a daughter of the late Will and Ethel Bush Broadway. She was a retired food services director for McGehee schools, and a member of the First Assembly of God. She also was a member of the National Education Association, Arkansas Retired Teachers Association, Arkansas Education Association, and American Association of Retired Persons. Survivors include her husband, John Tullis; two sons, Bill Tullis, and Jim Tullis, both of McGehee; a daughter, Betty Tullis of McGehee; a brother, Bobby Broadway of Lake Providence; four sisters, Lela Weeks of Robeline, Lillie Colston of Many, Willie Mae Weeks of Lake Providence, Vera Lee Dubaw of Montgomery, and Dottie Lou Smith of Natchitoches; and four grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Monday, Aug. 16, 1993, at First Assembly of God. Burial followed in McGehee Cemetery, by Griffin Funeral Home of McGehee.
