Rose Mary Speight Tholen (Photo)

  Rose Mary Speight Tholen was born on Aug. 9, 1933, in Sabine
Parish, to Sidney and Mary Jane Speight. She retired from
Southwestern Bell Tele. Co., after many years of work. She was a
member of the Telephone Pioneers CWA, and a member of Golden
Acres Baptist Church of Pasadena, Texas. She died April 3, 2001,
at the age of 67.

  Survivors include her husband of 45 years, Bernhard; son,
Michael; two daughters, Sandra Tholen, and Karen Emmanuel; four
grandsons, Shane Tholen, Anthony Emmanuel, Ryan Emmanuel, and
James Emmanuel; two granddaughters, Cindy Tholen Odom, and Carrie
Tholen Holland; great granddaughter, Jewel Odom; five sisters,
Romona Waller of Jacksonville, Texas, Marjorie Bailey of
Mesquite, Texas, Jimmie Farris of Picayune, Miss., Barbara
Remedies of Pineville, and Charlene Conacher of Leesville; one
brother, Sidney Speight of Esto Landing in Sabine Parish;
numerous aunts, nieces, and nephews, along with a host of
friends.

  Services were held at South Park Funeral Home on April 6, 2001.
