Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 11 at Warren Meadows Funeral Chapel in Many with interment following at Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Converse. The Rev. Marshall Ingle officiated. Mr. Taylor was an oilfield roughneck and was retired from the U. S. Air Force after 14 years of service which included the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Post #5738 of the Zwolle Chapter of the V. F. W. Survivors include his widow, Blanch M. Taylor of Zwolle; three daughters, Janice Simon of Shreveport, Helen Simon of El Paso, Texas and Ann Simon of Denver, Colo.; one sister, Margaret Dishroon of Chandler, Ariz.; three sister-in-laws, Mrs. Dorothy Taylor of Texarkana, Texas, Mrs. Frances Adcock of Zwolle and Mrs. Clara Wilkins of Shreveport; 18 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Taylor was preceded in death by three sons, Carlyle, Paul and Thomas Simon; one sister, Frances McKinley and one brother, Russell Taylor. Pallbearers were Timothy Simon, Robert Simon, Andrew Martinez, Michael Simon, Thomas Simon and Jeffrey Sepulvado. Honorary pallbearers were Cecil Martinez, Dennis Martinez, Thomas Sepulvado and Benny Martinez. Warren Meadows Many, La.
