Father Bernard Zapst officiated. Burial was in Rambin cemetery near Pelican. Arrangements were under the directions of Drewett Funeral Home in Mansfield. She died Wednesday morning, Sept. 29, in a Shreveport hospital, after an extended illness. Mrs. Taylor was a native of Pelican. She is survived by her husband, James Thomas Taylor of Mansfield; four sons, Dr. Donald Ray Taylor of Mansfield, James Murphy Taylor of Pleasant Hill, Joel Thomas Taylor of Morgan City, and Charles Anthony Taylor of Baton Rouge; five daughters, Mrs. Glenda Joyce Murphy of Patterson, Mrs. Rita Davidson of LaPlace, Mrs. Sheryl Baler of Hattiesburg, Miss., Mrs. Elizabeth Rogers, and Mrs. Terri Theall of Morgan City; two brothers, Charles Young of El Dorado, Ark., and Jack Young of Pelican; four sisters, Miss Margaret Young, Mrs. Frances Laffitte, and Mrs. Johnnie Englebert of Pelican, and Mrs. Cecile Chamberlin of Vivian; thirteen grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
