Tyler, 68, of Benton, Were held at 11:30 a.m., Saturday, May 15, at Rose-Neath's Bossier City Chapel. The Rev. Melton Prothro, pastor of Haughton Baptist Church, officiated. Burial was in Loy Cemetery near Benton. He died Thursday, May 13, at his residence, after a sudden illness. Mr. Tyler, born in Pleasant Hill, and a resident of Benton for 38 years, was a retired operator for Sun Oil, and a retired farmer. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Thelma Virginia Tyler of Benton; son, Ralph Tatum Tyler; and daughter, Miss Martha Ann Tyler of Bossier City; sisters, Mrs. Mazelle Jamison, and Mrs. Mary Litton of Pleasant Hill, Mrs. Dorothy Kilgore, and Mrs. Corine Befros of Houston, Tex.; brothers, George Tyler of Keithville, La., and Dewey Tyler of Monroe; grandsons, Matthew Tatum Tyler, and Mark Audley Tyler of Bossier City. Pallbearers were Elmer Funk, Thurman Dyke, Melton Coker, W. H. Huckaby, and the New Holland employees.
