She was 71 years of age. Funeral services for Miss Tyler were held Saturday, April 2, at 11:30 a.m., at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, Marshall Street Chapel, in Shreveport. Burial followed at Forest Park Cemetery in Shreveport. Services were under the direction of Rose-Neath Funeral Home. Dr. Stone Caraway, pastor of Noel Memorial United Methodist Church, and Rev. Kathy Clark Dickerson, assoc. pastor of Noel Memorial, officiated. Nephews of Miss Tyler serving as pallbearers were Thomas H. Vowels, Louis E. Fraser, James R. Fraser, Cleon M. Worley, and Kenneth Crump. Also acting as pallbearers was H. M. Owens. Surviving relatives include two sisters, Mable T. Cooper, Yucca Valley, Calif., Paralee T. Vowels of Shreveport; one brother, James A. Tyler, Marshall, Tex.; nieces, and nephews, and many other relatives. Miss Tyler was born in Mitchell, La., and was a retired teacher from Caddo Parish. She was an active member, and Sunday School teacher at Noel Memorial United Methodist Church in North Alabama, and Missouri Conference. A graduate of Zwolle High School, and Northwestern State University, Miss Tyler once taught at Zwolle Elementary.
