The Rev. John D. Scott, and Rev. Kenneth Leach officiated. Burial was at Ebenezer Cemetery, under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home of Marshall. Mr. Tyler, a former resident of Florien, died Tuesday, April 1, 1986, at his residence in Marshall, after an extended illness. He was a barber in Sabine Parish, until he retired in 1958, and was employed with Hodges Gardens from 1958 to 1970. He had lived in Marshall since 1982. Mr. Tyler was born November 21, 1900, in Bayou Scie, La. He was preceded in death by his wife, Tera Taylor Tyler, in June 1974. He is survived by one daughter, Audrey Fraser of Marshall; three grandchildren, James Ray Fraser of Houston, Texas, Jane Bowling of Humble, Texas, and Thomas Andrew Fraser of Oklahoma City, Okla.; three great grandchildren; two sisters, Mabel Cooper of Yucca Valley, Calif., and Parlee Vowels of Shreveport, La. Pallbearers were James Fraser, Mike Bowling, Mike Fraser, Harry Vowels, William N. Dreed, and David Braud.
