The Rev. Bill Stowell pastor of Emmanuel Baptist Church, officiated. Burial was in Forest Park West Cemetery. Mr. Tyler died Monday, Feb. 1, 1988, in Port Arthur, Texas. He was born in Sabine Parish, La. and was a former resident of Shreveport, La. Mr. Tyler was retired as a refinery operator with Pennzoil. He was a member of Mid City Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ester Tyler of Port Neches; two sons, Edward Elton Tyler of Longview, Texas, Albert Wayne Ayers of Shreveport, four daughters, Barbara Ann Rogers of Many, La., Irene Langlois of New Orleans, La., Becky Hunt of Port Neches, Rena Frederick of Abilene, Texas, a sister Mary Butts of Silsbee, Texas, three brothers, William Tyler and Melvin Tyler of Shreveport, Curtis Tyler of Cleveland, Texas, 15 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
