Larry Tyler, 40, a native of Oakdale, and resident of Baton Rouge, died Friday morning, June 15, at 3:15 a.m., of lung complications. Rev. Tyler was an ordained minister with World Evangelism Fellowship, and a member of Family Worship Center, both affiliated with Jimmy Swaggart ministries. While attending Family Worship Center, Brother Tyler became actively involved in both the church's personal outreach, as well as the Crossfire Youth Ministry. Memorial services for Rev. Tyler were held in Baton Rouge, Sunday, June 17, at 1 p.m., in Family Worship Center, under the direction of Rabenharst Funeral Home. Officiating were Rev. Jim Reniz, Rev. Andy Starks, and the Rev. Dino Rizzo. Pallbearers for the memorial services were Jimmy Kirby, Frank Mitchum, John McDonald, George Coryell, Robert Walker Jr., Jerry L. Conner Sr., Loyd Kirby, and Kenneth Hamilton, all from Baton Rouge. Funeral services for Rev. Tyler were held Sunday, June 17, at 6 p.m., in the Ardoin Funeral Home Chapel in Oakdale. Graveside services followed in the Union Hill Cemetery, under the direction of Ardoin Funeral Home. Officiating were Rev. Andy Starks, Rev. Dino Rizzo, Rev. Ben Herrin, and the Rev. Bobby Bonds. He is survived by his wife, Margo; and two daughters, Angie, and Christel; parents, Clifton, and Helen Tyler of Oakdale; three brothers, Terry Tyler of Oakdale, Jerry Tyler of Alexandria, and Gary Tyler of Monroe. Pallbearers for the funeral services were Ed Stewart, Patrick Elliott, Charles Stalsby, Mark Elliott, Jerry Longlois, and Alton Leggett.
