Tyler, 72, were held at 11 a.m., Friday, Jan. 6, at Rose-Neath's Bossier Chapel. Rev. James Hoover, pastor of Red River Baptist Church in Benton, officiated, with Rev. Scott Tatum assisting. Burial was in Lay Cemetery, under the direction of Rose-Neath Funeral Home. Mrs. Tyler, a homemaker, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 4, 1995, at her residence. She was born in Converse, and was a resident of Benton. She was preceded in death by her husband, R. J. Tyler; and parents, Audley and Jennie Johnson. Survivors include one son, Ralph T. Tyler and wife Gail of Bossier City; one daughter, Martha A. Tyler of Benton; one sister, Betty Fuller of Russellville, Ark.; one brother, Tatum Johnson of Baton Rouge; two grandchildren, Matt, and Mark Tyler of Bossier City; close as son, Wes Weaver of Benton; special cousin, Mary Robertson of Ball. Pallbearers were John D. Bundy, Dale Weaver, Pete Fausto, Murph Colvin, Jerry Colvin, Darrell Guyton, Harry Creech, and Chester Tatum. Honorary pallbearers were Curtis Youngblood, W. H. Huckabee, Elmer Funk, Bayne Floyd Melton, W. J. Lawson.
