Jerry Schmucker, and the Rev. Robert Richardson officiating. Burial was in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Converse. Mrs. Thompson died Monday, December 23, 1985, in Shreveport, following a lengthy illness. She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Virginia McDonald of Benton, Mrs. Ruby J. English of Shreveport, Mrs. Mildred Blankenship of Noble; seven grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren; one brother, Bill Cobbs of Grand Cane; four sisters, Mrs. Reta Lilley of Mansfield, Mrs. Gladys Greenwood of Houston; Mrs. Curley Lantz of Shepherd, Texas, Mrs. Doris Halbert of Cleveland, Texas. Pallbearers were the grandsons. Honorary Pallbearers were Dr. Jack L. Grindle, Dr. Michael Brannon, Dr. Arthur Poch, Dr. P. V. Blanchard.
