Mrs. Eddie Thames 
  
  Mrs. Eddie Thames, 77, of Noble, died Monday, Dec. 18, at 
Converse, after an extended illness. 
  
  Funeral services were held Wednesday, Dec. 20, at 10 a.m., at 
the Noble Baptist Church, with the Rev. Jerry Smucker 
officiating, and the Rev. C. C. Pierce assisting. Interment was 
in the Noble Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows 
Funeral Home. 
  
  Survivors were her husband, Colon Thames of Noble; two sons, 
Maurice and Jep Thames, both of Noble; one daughter, Mrs. June 
Engelhardt of Many; one sister, Mrs. Mattie Dupree of Alexandria; 
four grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
