Rena Thomas

  Mrs. Rena Thomas, 74, of Mt. Carmel, died in Many, Thursday,
Jan. 8, at 11 a.m., following an extended illness.

  Mrs. Thomas is survived by her husband, Harvey L. Thomas of Mt.
Carmel; a daughter, Mrs. Anne Dockens of Many; four brothers, J.
W. Ricks of Port Arthur, Tex., C. A. Ricks of Boyce, and J. C.
Ricks of Mt. Carmel; one sister, Mrs. G. W. Addison of Mt.
Carmel; and two grandchildren.

  Funeral services were held Friday, Jan. 9, at the Mt. Carmel
Baptist Church. The 3 p.m. service was conducted by the Rev.
Brent Fleming, and the Rev. Phillip Tisdale. Burial was in the
Mt. Carmel Cemetery, under the direction of the Warren Meadows
Funeral Home.
