Hattie Thomas

  Funeral services for Hattie Thomas, 93, of Carthage, Texas, were
held at 11 a.m., Friday, March 7, 1997, at Jimerson Funeral Home
Chapel.

  The Rev. Jerry Burnaman officiated. Burial was in Mt. Bethel
Cemetery, Gary, Texas.

  Mrs. Thomas died Tuesday, March 4, 1997, in Leesville.

  She was born Oct. 27, 1903, in Gary, Texas. She was the daughter
of William D. Heaton and Mary Frances Walton Heaton. She was a
homemaker, and a member of First Baptist Church of Carthage.

  She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Thomas.

  Mrs. Thomas is survived by one son, Robert Roland Thomas of
Tyler, Texas; two daughters, Frances Ritter of Carthage, Texas,
and JoAnn Nunley of Hornbeck; seven grandchildren; and 10 great
grandchildren.
