All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** Mr. Floyd Thomas Funeral services were held Saturday, Oct. 11, at 2:00 p.m., for Floyd Thomas of Many, 76, who died in Fraser Hospital on Friday, Oct. 10, at 1:30 a.m., after a brief illness. Surviving relatives include his widow, Mrs. Maudie Thomas of Many; two sons, Robert C. Thomas from Grand Isle, and William Floyd Thomas Jr. of Florien; one stepson, S. J. Plummer of Beaverton, Ore.; and two sisters, Mrs. Bailey Stringer of Many, and Mrs. Chris Williams of Shreveport. Mr. Thomas has ten grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. Services were held at the Oak Hill Baptist Church, with the Rev. Gerald Roberts, the Rev. Willis Greer, and the Rev. Gerald Martin officiating. Burial was at Oak Hill Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home of Many. Pallbearers were Gary Thomas, Clarence Peek, James Fruge, Quinton Stringer, Bennie Moran, and Cecil Thomas.
