Colon Thames

  Colon Thames, 81, of Converse, died Saturday, July 14.

  Funeral services were held in the Noble Baptist Church, at 10
a.m., July 17, with the Rev. Jerry Schmucker officiating. Burial
was in the Noble Cemetery.

  He is survived by two sons, M. B., and J. C. Thames of Noble;
one daughter, Mrs. June Engelhardt of Zwolle; two brothers, R. E.
Thames of Greenville, Mo., and J. H. Thames of La Mesa, Tex.; two
sisters, Mrs. Della Jones of Abilene, Tex., and Mrs. Nettie Smith
of Riverside, Calif.; four grandchildren; and 11 great
grandchildren.
