Mr. Tennison was born in Yellville, Ark., live most of his life in Sulphur and then resided in Many where he was a member of Central Baptist Church. He fished on the Bass Professional Fishing circuit. He was a retired operator for Cities Services. He was a professional guide on Lake Okeechobee in Florida for 17 years. Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 28 at Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with interment following at Highland Cemetery in Lake Charles. The Rev. Lawrence Hidalgo and the Rev. Frank McMillian officiated. Survivors include three sons, Jimmie Tennison and Gilbert Tennison both of Sulphur and Carl Lee Tennison of El Cajon, Calif.; two daughters, JoAnn McMillian of Humble, Texas and Rose Etta Hidalgo of Sulphur; 14 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
