Edith Penny Tanner

  Edith Penny Tanner, 84, of Many, formerly of Liberty, Texas died
Sunday, March 8, 1998 at Sabine Medical Center in Many.

  Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 11 at
Allison Funeral Service, Inc. in Liberty, Texas with interment
following at Hardin Chapel Cemetery in Hardin, Texas.

  Mrs. Tanner was a native of Liberty County. She lived in Many for
eight years and previously had been a lifetime resident of Liberty,
Texas, where she was a homemaker.

  Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Mildred and Paul
Gewin of Many; one son and daughter-in-law, James C. "Butch" and
Cheryl Tanner of Houston, Texas; and one grandson, Marc Gewin of Many.
