Tanner of Many, were held Saturday, Sept. 17, 1983, at 10 a.m., at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church. Burial was at Pilgrim Rest Cemetery. Bros. Hoy Leach, O. M. Greer, and Kenneth West officiated. Services were under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home. Mrs. Tanner died Wednesday, Sept. 14, at Sabine Medical Center. She was 76. She is survived by her husband, Earl E. Tanner, Sr. of Many; one son, Manuel Speer of Florence, Oregon; two daughters, Lorene Parrott of Zwolle, Juanetta Case of Many; four sisters, Nellie Carlson of Paris, Tex., Grace Rush of Reedsport, Oregon, Ruby Jannson of Smith River, Oregon, Almeda Ross of Elk City, Okla.; five step sons, Earl E. Tanner, Jr., Monroe E. Tanner, both of Many, Joseph M. Tanner of Sicily Island, La., Carl W. Tanner, Randall B. Tanner, both of Baton Rouge; two step daughters, Hazel Davidson, Norma Brister, both of Baton Rouge; 10 grandchildren.,
