The Sabine Index - R. Howard Travis

  17 Feb 1956 - Funeral services for R. Howard Travis, 39, who
died at a Shreveport hospital Friday, Feb. 10, was conducted at
First Baptist Church at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 11, with Rev.
W. H. Rose officiating. Interment was in Ft. Jesup cemetery under
the direction of Warren Funeral Home.

  Surviving relatives are wife, Mrs. R. H. Travis, daughter,
Mary Dee, parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. L. Travis of Many, sisters,
Mrs. J. W. Englehardt of Many, Mrs. A. J. Thevenot, of Bunkie,
Mrs. M. R. Hickman of Alexandria, Mrs. Jack Ziegler of Lebanon,
Pa., Mrs. James Samples of Shreveport, and Mrs. James Manuel of
Natchitoches.

  Pallbearers were: David Bray, Jr., Edward Bray, Truman
Anthony, Harrell Minter, Monroe Jackson, Jr., and Amos Carter.
