Fairy Minter Travis

  Funeral services for Mrs. Fairy Minter Travis, 96, were held at
10 a.m., Thursday, July 26, at Warren Meadows Chapel. Interment
followed in the Ft. Jesup Cemetery, under the direction of Warren
Meadows Funeral Home. Rev. Earl Marr, and Rev. Joe Ratcliff
officiated the services.

  Mrs. Travis passed away Tuesday, July 26, at the Annie Mae
Matthews Nursing Home in Alexandria.

  She is survived by her five daughters, Maude Thevenot, Atrella
Hickman, and Faye Manuel, all of Alexandria, Marjori Zeigler of
Lebanon, Pennsylvania, and Grace Samioles of Shreveport; two
sisters, Ava Alford of Hallettsville, Texas, and Sudie Bray of
Many; one daughter-in-law, Cleo J. Travis; nine grandchildren; 21
great grandchildren; and 11 great-great grandchildren.

  Pallbearers were Rennie Hickman, Tames Manuel, Chris Manuel,
Grady Cross, Gary Manuel, and David Minter.
