Travis, 80, died Tuesday, March 1, in Many, at 10 a.m., after an extended illness. Services were held in the Warren Meadows Funeral Chapel, Wednesday, March 2, at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Earl T. Marr, and the Rev. J. I. Funderburk officiating. Burial was in the Ft. Jesup Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home of Many. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Rennie L. Travis of Many; six daughters, Mrs. Johnny Englehardt of Many, Mrs. Aubrey Thevenot of Bunkie, Mrs. Jack Ziegler of Lebannon, Pa., Mrs. Martin Hickman, and Mrs. James Manuel, both of Alexandria, and Mrs. James Samples of Shreveport. Pallbearers were Truett Walden, George Cook, Douglas Heard, Harris Williams, Frank Folden, John Cook, Chris Alford, and Genie Walker.
