Tarpley, 80, of Haynesville, were held at 2 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 25, at the Rose Neath Funeral Home Chapel in Homer, La. The Rev. Tim Rayborn officiated. Burial was at Arlington Cemetery in Homer. Mr. Tarpley died Friday, October 23, 1987, at North Claiborne Hospital in Haynesville. He was a retired self-employed carpenter, a member of the Carpenter's Union, and a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge. Mr. Tarpley was a Morman. He is survived by his wife, Nadine Tarpley of Haynesville; two sons, Charles Tarpley of Floton, Ala., and Jerry Tarpley of Shreveport, La.; two step sons, Curtis Stewart of Shreveport, and Wesley Stewart of Korea; four daughters, Jean Hutchins of Minden, Eloise Lewis of Shreveport, Shirley Musgrove, and Carolyn Akin of Homer, La.; a step daughter, Frances Hanson of Haynesville; a sister, Florence Sibley of Monahan, Texas; two brothers, Robert Tarpley, and Allen Tarpley of Many, La.; ten grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
