James R. Tarpley

  Mr. James R. Tarpley, 93, died at Sabine Medical Center in Many,
on June 1, 1989.

  Services were held at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church, on Saturday,
June 3, at 11 a.m., with Rev. Hoy Leach, and Rev. Kenneth Leach
officiating. Burial was at Pilgrim Rest Cemetery, under the
direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home.

  Survivors include five sons, James Clyde Tarpley of Winnfield,
Robert H. Tarpley of Kilgore, Tex., Bobby R. Tarpley of Many,
Kenneth Wayne Tarpley of Mitchell, and Floyd Glynn Tarpley of
Many; four daughters, Willie Mae Leone of Keithville, Dorothy
Landrum of Orange, Tex., Margarette Lovelady of Zwolle, and Rose
Lynn LeRoy of Longview, Tex.; one brother, Allen Tarpley of Many;
32 grandchildren; 37 great grandchildren; one great-great
grandchild; and a host of nieces and nephews.

  Pallbearers included Buddy Tarpley, Steve Tarpley, Bruce
Tarpley, Richard Tarpley, James Tarpley, and Stoney Lovelady.
