Emmitt M. Tarpley

  Emmitt M. Tarpley, 66, died in a Shreveport hospital, of a brief
illness, Thursday.

  Funeral services were held Friday, at 11 o'clock a.m., at the
Fenders Cemetery near Many.

  Survivors are his widow; a daughter, Mrs. Etta Lee Tarpley
Smith, Shreveport, La.; a grandson, Donald Maurice Renfoe, also
of Shreveport; one granddaughter, Mrs. Charles Tommie of Baytown,
Texas; and two great grandsons.
