The Rev. James Sample officiated. Burial was in Highland Memory Gardens of Lake Charles. Mrs. Turpin died at 2:45 a.m., December 15, in a local hospital. She was a native of Florien, and had lived in Lake Charles for 41 years. She was a retired teacher in the Calcasieu Parish system, and was also a member of Women's Aglow, and Abundant Life Fellowship Church. Survivors include her two daughters, Mrs. Doris Schuette, and Mrs. Jan Jamison; one son, Ross Turpin, all of Sulphur; one sister, Mrs. Bonnie Blackett of Shreveport; two brothers, Jack Salter of Florien, and Pete Salter of Sulphur; seven grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
