Mrs. Ufamy Tarver

  Mrs. Ufamy Weldon Tarver, 93, passed away in her sleep
Wednesday, July 23, at the home of her daughter in Simpson.

  Funeral services were held in the Kisatchie Baptist Church on
Thursday, July 24, at 3 p.m. The Rev. Jason Kay officiated,
assisted by the Rev. Joe Holt, and the Rev. Larry. Burial was in
the Dan Owen Cemetery at Kisatchie, under the direction of the
Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home of Natchitoches.

  Survivors include three sons, John C. Tarver, and Alva L. Tarver
of Many, and Luther Tarver of Natchitoches; one daughter, Lizzie
Jackson of Simpson; 19 grandchildren, 45 great grandchildren; and
17 great-great grandchildren.

  Pallbearers were her grandsons, Michael Tarver, Ricky Tarver,
John Reed Tarver, Donald Tarver, Richard Jackson, Joe Andre,
Donald Tolbert, and Danny Hall.
