Burial followed at Ft. Jesup Cemetery. Rev. Arthur Haymon, and Rev. Earl Marr officiated. Services were under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home. Mr. Tarver, 69, died at Sabine Medical Center on Friday, May 27, at 8 p.m., after a lengthy illness. He was born at Kisatchie, La., on September 12, 1913. Mr. Tarver is survived by his wife, Mrs. Carrol Boydstun Tarver of Ft. Jesup; one daughter, Janice Holmes of Garrison, Tex.; one sister, Mrs. Homer Jackson of Simpson, La.; eight grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews; and many friends. Serving as pallbearers were Mike Tarver, Bill Boydstun, K. M. Boydstun, R. M. Jackson, Don Tarver, and Joseph Andre. Honorary pallbearers were Tim Liddy, Wingate Dowden, Herbert Leach, John H. Brown, Willie Bell, and Clark Pouncy.
