Dr. Joe Blair officiated. Plans are under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Ruston. Mrs. Tarver, a former resident of Shreveport, died Thursday, April 2, 1987, at Alpine Nursing Home in Ruston, after a short illness. She was a native of Pleasant Hill, and a former resident of Shreveport, where she was a member of the Broadmoor Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank H. Tarver, Sr., and a son, Frank H. Tarver, Jr. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. James E. Stevenson of Blytheville, Ark.; one son, James A. Tarver of Ruston; a sister, Mrs. Oakley Provost of Mansfield; six grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the Baptist Children's Home in Monroe, La.
