Torres, 66, of Zwolle, died in Shreveport, on Sept. 22, 1986, at 12:38 p.m. He was a member of the DAV Chapter 21, and VFW Post 5187 of Zwolle. He was preceded in death by three brothers, who were killed in World War II. His mother was a four star mother. He served in World War II for five years, and in the civil service for 27 years. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Audrey Torres of Zwolle; two sons, Ernest D. Torres, and Kenny E. Torres, both of Zwolle; two daughters, Faye L. Torres of Zwolle, and Janet Sepulvado of Noble; one stepson, Harold Dew of Ft. Jesup; two sisters, Pearl English of Leesville, and Ida Mae LaRoue of Zwolle; six grandchildren; three step grandchildren; and eight nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Sept. 24, 1986, at 11 a.m., with Father Earl Provenza officiating. Burial was in St. Joseph Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home. Pallbearers were the Military and VFW Post 5187.
