William Campbell, pastor of Midway Baptist Church officiating. Burial followed in the Sardis Cemetery in Converse. Visitation was from 8 a.m. until the time of the funeral service. Mrs. Truss, a native of Sabine Parish, and a lifelong resident of Converse, died June 25, 1994, in Schumpert Medical Center, after a lengthy illness. She was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, R. D. Truss; and a son, Ted Truss. She is survived by one daughter, Charlsie Myers of Houston; three brothers, Rev. Lloyd W. Shaw of Independence, Mo., Otis Shaw of Bossier City, Tullos Shaw of Mansfield; two grandchildren, Glenn Kevin Kernaghan of Shreveport, Jamie Gail Wade of Houston; and two great grandchildren. Her family served as pallbearers.
