Richard Eugene Thorton, Sr.

  Funeral services for Mr. Richard Eugene Thorton Sr., 80, were
held at 2 p.m., Thursday, February 20, in Aimwell Baptist Church.
Interment followed at Aimwell Cemetery, under the direction of
Warren Meadows Funeral Home. Rev. Steve Neesley officiated over
the services.

  Mr. Thornton died Tuesday, February 18, at Coryell Memorial
Hospital in Gatesville, Tex.

  He is survived by three sons, Richard E. Thorton Jr. of
Palestine, Tex., John R. Thorton of Lafayette, and Paul V.
Thorton of Gatesville, Tex.; one daughter, Pauline Tamsett of
Houston, Tex.; one sister, Minnie McGuire of Manchester, N. H.;
and four grandchildren.
