Truelove of Chatman, age 42, was fatally injured Wednesday morning. An employee of Red Davis Logging Contractors of Chatman, he was cutting trees three miles east of Pleasant Hill. He cut down one tree, and a dead tree fell and hit him. This happened around 9 a.m. Around 11 a.m., Lloyd Powells, Negro, who was skidding logs in that area, found Truelove. He was still alive. He died around 12 a.m., in a Many hospital, suffering from a broken neck. Sheriff deputies Oliver Elliott, and Jack Brown, investigated the accident.
