The Sabine Index - Mrs. W. Thornton

  13 Mar 1959 - (Mrs. W. Thornton) - The mother of Mrs. Wm. H.
Ponder, age 80, passed away Monday in a Shreveport hospital after
a short illness.

  Funeral rites were held Tuesday at 3 p.m. in the East Point
Methodist church with the Rev. Dan Anders, pastor, officiating,
assisted by the Rev. Floyd Durham, pastor of the Trinity Heights
Methodist of Shreveport. Burial was in the Springville cemetery
near Coushatta.

  Survivors include three daughter, Mrs. Bessie Booth, East
Point, Mrs. William H. Ponder, Many, and Mrs. Flora Dyson,
Shreveport; three sisters, Mrs. W. W. Wilson, Natchitoches, Mrs.
Anna Beard, Ajax and Mrs. T. Coleman of Coushatta; two
grandchildren and one great grandson.
