Tramel (Photo) Funeral services for Dr. Charley B. Tramel, 72, of Many, were held at 2 p.m., on April 23, 1995, at Warren Meadows Funeral Home Chapel in Many. Msgr. Norman Buvens, and the Rev. Hulen Warren officiated. Burial was in Ft. Jesup Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home of Many. Dr. Tramel passed away on April 21, at Schumpert Medical Center of Shreveport. Dr. Tramel was born in Many, on Sept. 29, 1922, to Eura Smith and Arthur B. Tramel. Dr. Tramel was a graduate of Northwestern University in Chicago, Ill., and a member of the Northwestern of Chicago Alumni Association. Dr. Tramel operated a dental practice from 1947 until his retirement in 1992. Dr. Tramel was a former Brahma Cattle Rancher, a veteran of World War II, a member of the American Legion, the American Dental Association, the La. Dental Association, and a member of the La. Independent Finance Association. Survivors are his widow, Beatrice Davis Tramel of Many; one daughter, Julia Dowden and her husband Charles of Bedford, Texas; two sons, Clay B. Tramel of Dallas, and Andrew B. Tramel and his wife Penny of Dallas; one sister, Marjorie Ward of Lake Charles; and four grandchildren. Pallbearers were Dr. Stan Foster, Clauriste Byles Jr., David Wedgeworth, Peter Founds, Bruce Mitchell, and Leonard (Pete) Abington.
