Mrs. Annie G. Thurmond

  Services for Mrs. Annie G. Thurmond, 82, of Gibsland, were held
at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, March 25, at the Gibsland First Baptist
Church, with the Rev. Stan McGee officiating. Burial was at Mt.
Lebanon Cemetery, under the direction of Rose-Neath Funeral Home
of Arcadia.

  Mrs. Thurmond died Sunday, March 22, 1987, at Houston, Tex. She
was a graduate of Highland Hospital School of Nursing,
Shreveport.

  She was preceded in death by her husband, William T. "Bill"
Thurmond.

  She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Billie A. Thurmond of
Houston; seven sisters, Mrs. E. M. Patrick, Mrs. N. F. Nabours,
Miss Edna Gandy, all of Many; Mrs. Fletcher Morris of Birmingham,
Ala., Mrs. J. T. Patrick of Baton Rouge, Mrs. J. R. David of
Orlando, Fla., Mrs. Loyce Thompkins of Miami, Fla.; one brother,
W. H. Gandy of Many.

  Family asks in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to donor's
choice.
