All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** Blanchard Turner Services were held for Mr. Blanchard Turner, 78, of Sibley, at 3 p.m., Saturday, April 24, at the Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel in Minden. The Rev. Morgan Poole, and the Rev. Glenn Crow officiated. Burial was in Sibley Cemetery. He died Friday morning, April 23, at Bossier Medical Center in Bossier City, following a long illness. Mr. Turner, born near Minden, was a retired pulpwood contractor, and a member of Yellow Pine Christian Church. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Mamie Dugan Turner of Sibley; one son, L. B. Turner, Jr. of Dallas, Tex.; daughter, Sandra Whitfield of Baton Rouge; and sisters, Ethel Beck of Shreveport, Minnie Marhall of West Monroe, and Bertie Reeves of Many; and four grandchildren, Steve Turner, Dennis Turner, Andrea Whitfield, and Toni Whitfield. Pallbearers were T. J. Lee, Jim Dugan, Norman Sims, Jimmy Robb, Tommy LeTulle, Ricky Reeves, and Bobby Almond.
