Mrs. Rachel Vickers

  Mrs. Rachel Vickers, 79, of Converse, died April 1, 2003.

  Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., April 4, at Rose-Neath
Chapel.

  Mrs. Vickers was preceded in death by her husband, Henry F.
Vickers Jr.; son, Philip Vickers; and parents, Joseph Leo and
Lettie Emma Dykes. Survivors include three sons, Allen Vickers of
Fultondale, Ala., Barry Vickers of Converse, and Ronald Vickers
of Angleton, Texas; two sisters, Marguerite Cates of Converse,
and Elma A. Cates of Groves, Texas; brother, Virgil R. Dykes of
Livingston, Texas; seven grandchildren; and six great
grandchildren.

  Pallbearers were Gary Vickers, Clayton Shaw, Eddie Cates, Donnie
Cates, Ralph Cates, and Rod Craig. Honorary pallbearer was
Charles Shaw.
