Mr. Walter "Sparky" Vowell

  Funeral services for Mr. Walter "Sparky" Vowell, 76, were held
Thursday, Aug. 17, 1989, at 10 a.m., in the Rose-Neath Mansfield
Chapel. Interment followed in the Highland Cemetery. Rev. George
Bannister officiated.

  Mr. Vowell passed away Aug. 14, at 9:30 p.m., at the DeSoto
General Hospital in Mansfield, after a lengthy illness.

  He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Alma Lee Vowell of Converse;
one daughter, Jo Voinette Wilson of Hot Springs, Arkansas; one
sister, Mrs. T. B. Tatum of Many; three grandsons; one
granddaughter; and many friends.

  Funeral services were under the direction of Rose Neath Funeral
Home, Mansfield, La.
